Strawberry Whipped Cream Pretzel Trifle

FODMAP diet desserts - Strawberry Whipped Cream Pretzel Trifle

I have a massive sweet tooth and I love taking classic dessert recipes and making them FODMAP safe.  I made this dessert for our housewarming party and it was a HUGE hit.  I was actually shocked to find that so many people loved it and they had NO idea it was dairy-free and gluten-free!  That’s the best compliment you can give someone.  This isn’t exactly a healthy summer dessert but sometimes you just need a good splurge, am I right?!  Plus, there are much unhealthier options than this one. 🙂 You will want to be sure to categorize this under FODMAP diet desserts.

As we are in the heart of summer, there are a ton of BBQ parties to attend and it can be difficult when you have food sensitivities or allergies.  It’s the worst feeling showing up to a party and realizing there is literally nothing you can eat.  This has happened to me on so many occasions that I wrote a post on how to survive a summer BBQ.  You will also find a bunch of FODMAP safe recipes that you can bring to the party and be the hero to your host/hostess!

Looking for other FODMAP safe summertime recipes? Check out a few of my favorites: grilled vegetables, turkey burgers & banana pudding.

Yum! I like the idea of combining the coconut whipped cream with the vegan cream cheese…makes it thicker. What a pretty dessert.

YES! It did make it thicker, it also made it less “coconuty” for the people that aren’t huge fans of coconut.
